The Scaffold Finance Forest has started to take root
Last month, we announced the launch of our new initiative, the Scaffold Finance Forest. We are delighted to share that this initiative has taken root and is growing at an impressive pace. As part of our commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable practices, we have pledged to plant 10 trees for each year of our clients’ finance agreements.
How does the Scaffold Finance Forest initiative work?
Once your agreement is activated, we pledge to have 10 trees planted for every year of your agreement. We will then issue you a digital certificate highlighting the number of trees planted and the amount of carbon offset from financing through us. We encourage you to share this certificate on social media and tag us. For every repost of your certificate, we will plant an additional 20 trees on your behalf, demonstrating our joint commitment to promoting sustainable practices.
The first trees have been planted
In March, we planted the first trees in the Scaffold Finance Forest, starting with a deal secured for an Audi Q4 E-Tron. As this finance agreement was secured over a 5-year term, we planted 50 trees, offsetting 1.25 tonnes of carbon. This is a significant step towards our goal of creating a more sustainable future as the Audi Q4 E-Tron produces zero direct CO2 emissions while driving.
To date, we have planted 130 trees, which has resulted in the removal of 3.25 carbon tonnes from the atmosphere. We are thrilled to witness the positive impact our initiative is having on the environment.
