Not only does this help offset greenhouse gas emissions, but planting trees can also improve air quality that we live and breathe each day. Not only this but we are now proud to announce that we are a climate friendly company. This means that all our employee emissions are offset by various climate focused projects around the world. Just another way of how we are contributing to the wider impact of restoring our planet.
Once your agreement is activated and live we will have 10 trees planted for every year of your agreement! We will then send you a digital certificate outlining how many trees and much carbon will be offset from financing through us. You will then have the opportunity to go that extra mile for the planet by reposting your certificate of plantation on social media and tagging us, and for this we will have 20 bonus trees planted on your behalf!
Scaffold Finance have teamed up with two environmentally centred companies to implement our sustainable goals.
Firstly, we teamed up with the non-profit organisation, Plant-for-the-Planet to plant trees on behalf of our customers. Plant-for-the-Planet was established in 2007 in Germany when 9-year-old Felix called for change after finding out that his favourite animal (the polar bear) was becoming extinct due to the effects of global warming. From hereon, Felix became a climate activist and inspired his classmates to start making change too. They made a website, began a holding and started promoting planting competitions. This soon caught the attention of the German government as well as the former executive director of UN Environment Program, who then became a patron of the initiative. By 2011 Felix had proposed the Trillion Tree Campaign to the United Nations! Fast forward to present day and we can see that Felix paved the way for now 95,898 youthful Climate Justice Ambassadors all around the world.
We have also teamed up with a UK based organisation to offset our employee emissions, Ecologi. Ecologi plants trees and conducts a variety of climate focused projects worldwide in efforts to achieve their vision which is “to reduce half the world’s emissions by 2040”.
