As we step into Trees are The Key Week 2023, we thought this would be a great time to announce our brand-new environmentally focused initiative, The Scaffold Finance Forest.

What is Trees are The Key Week?

Trees are The Key Week (TTKW) is a weeklong event held every spring that celebrates the importance of trees and forests around the world. During TTKW, organizations, communities, and individuals are encouraged to participate in activities and events that promote the appreciation of trees in our lives.

These activities include tree planting and educational programs that spread awareness about the multiple benefits of trees. Some examples of the benefits are; providing food, shelter, oxygen production, carbon storage, water filtration, soil stabilization and biodiversity protection.

Trees Are The Key Week is a fantastic opportunity to recognize the importance of trees. As well as to actively work together towards sustainable forestry practices.

What is The Scaffold Finance Forest?

The Scaffold Finance Forest means that for every year of your finance agreement with us we will plant 10 trees on your behalf!

Why have we chosen to do this?

After establishing Scaffold Finance back in 2021, we have now set a strong business foundation to continue giving back to society. See what else Scaffold Finance is doing to give back here. And with climate change as a cause close to our hearts we thought we should start contributing to a much larger global impact of reforestation.

Forest loss and damage is the root of approximately 10% of global warming. Thus making deforestation is a pressing issue for all of us.

Did you know that in just 40 years a forest area the size of Europe has been destroyed? This doesn’t just impact us and future generations, but also kills our wildlife and ruins ecosystems around the world.

How does The Scaffold Finance Forest work?

Once you have taken out a finance agreement with us, we will have 10 trees planted for each year of your agreement- it’s as simple as that! So, once your agreement is live and activated, you will receive an email confirmation outlining how many trees have been planted and how much carbon has been offset from financing through us.

It was important to us that our money was going to the right places. So, after extensive research we landed on the non-profit organisation: Plant-for -the-Planet. Since 2007, their mission has been to mitigate climate change. And so far they have done an amazing job, having planted 22.9 million trees worldwide. We can’t wait to contribute to their tree-mendous impact on the planet with your help!
